Look no further than Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa! We are committed to providing food to seniors who might otherwise go hungry. Meal son Wheels and our partners give a sense of security and safety by delivering food right to the senior’s doors and checking in to ensure everything is ok.
There are so many ways that you can help. Donation is a great way to contribute and help your community members. We have several different options, including individual and corporate opportunities, so you can choose the one that best fits your life or business.
Individual Donation Options
Basic one-time or monthly donation options are available so that you can donate once or plan on giving every month. If you wish to provide a lump sum gift once a year, you can easily set up a recurring yearly donation at the day, month, and time of your choice. You can choose to donate through Paypal or our online portal.
You can donate as much or as little as you can and still know that your contribution helps in the lives of seniors every day!
For monthly donations, it’s the same process, but we do have a program designed specifically for monthly donors. We call it the Next Meal Club, which is a unique program that allows you to stay up to date on everything Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa is up to, the impact your donation makes, and everything in between!

Planned Giving
Including Meals on Wheels in your estate plan or will is a thoughtful way to support vulnerable seniors in your area and leave a legacy that you can be proud of.

Workplace Giving
Workplace giving is a less-known donation option for many of our donors!
Workplace Giving allows employees to make automatic payroll deductions to make consistent, easy donations to Meals on Wheels. This can be used to make a significant contribution through many smaller donations. Many employers offer matching gifts as well, so your impact could be doubled!
Ask your employer if workplace giving is an option and, if it is, how they could match your donation!
Donate a Vehicle
Donating a vehicle is easy. You just complete a donation form and schedule a free pick-up. Meals on Wheels is partnered with CARS, Inc. to use these vehicles to make a difference.
Meals on Wheels accepts all types of vehicle donations including:

- Motorcycles
- Trailers
- Boats
- And more
Shopping for Good
Shop for Good is an easy way to support Meals on Wheels with your everyday purchases. Shop & Support is a program you can link your credit or debit cards up to that supports Meals on Wheels at no cost to you when you shop at participating merchants. A portion of your purchase will be automatically sent on your behalf.
And that’s not the only way you can shop for good! Many places allow you to donate part of your purchase to an organization of your choice. Good Cause Coffee donates $5 from every bag sold to a non-profit. All you have to do is choose Meals on Wheels at checkout.
Mastercard Donate app allows you to enroll your MasterCard and round up your purchases. Any rounded-up change gets donated to Meals on Wheels.
And AmazonSmile allows you to donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible purchase to an organization of your choice. All you have to do is log in through AmazonSmile and choose Meals on Wheels.
Give Stock and Bonds
Meals on Wheels of Contra Costa gladly accepts the donation of appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual funds! These vital investments can be used in various ways to continue investing in our seniors.
The staff here does not work directly with stocks or bonds, but instead we have the assistance of the East Community Foundation. They are our investment advisor fund managers and are a great help! Please contact one of our staff members to get connected with them.
Corporate Donation Options
Our corporate donation partners are businesses that contribute to helping their community a better place for all seniors in need. Our corporate partners are businesses that want to provide support to our seniors through any donation amount.
Meals on Wheels of Conta Costa relies on the generous support of corporations to fund local programs! There are many ways for corporations to contribute to the program by becoming a partner, sponsor, or donor.
Many of our corporate donors fall into two categories.
Our first category is a corporate sponsor for our events: this includes both larger and smaller fundraising events. Sponsoring an event is a great way to help Meals on Wheels to offset the cost of some of our overhead and administration, so more money goes right back to our seniors.
The second category of corporate donors is any business that wants to make a donation directly to our program. This money is shared amount our partner organizations so they can help seniors in different cities and counties receive the necessary nutrition that they need.
